GRAPE VARIETY: This is the classic Barbera, grown in several hillside vineyards. Each hectare has a planting density of approximately 4,500-5,000 vines, with an average production of 85-90 quintals
of grapes, equivalent to 60-62 hectoliters of wine.
SOIL: Sandstone origin with a significant presence of limestone mixed with tuff, medium texture tending towards clayey, hilly location at an altitude of approximately 350 meters above sea level.
HARVEST: The harvest is done manually and takes place between the end of September and the first ten days of October. The bunches are carefully selected and sent immediately for vinification.
VINIFICATION: Maceration and fermentation last an average of ten days, at a controlled temperature of 30°C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for several months in stainless steel tanks and released for sale in the spring following the year of its production.
AGEING AND STORAGE: After a brief period of maturation and aging, the wine is bottled. Due to its freshness and fragrance, typical of youth, it is released for consumption a few months after bottling and can be stored for several years.
TASTING NOTES: Intense and brilliant ruby red color, confirming the wine's freshness and vinosity. Intense and persistent aroma, pleasantly fruity,
with hints of flowers and fresh fruits such as plum and black cherry. Dry, harmonious, savory, and balanced flavor.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13% - 13.5% Vol.
SERVING SUGGESTION AND PAIRINGS: Best served at 18°C in medium-sized glasses. A wine for all meals, it pairs beautifully with appetizers, first courses, grilled white and red meats, mixed boiled meats, cured meats, and mild cheeses. Also suitable as an aperitif with appetizers and cold cuts, it is perfect throughout the meal.
